Who is The Record Co.?

Since 2012, The Record Co. (TRC) has been the heartbeat of Boston’s music community. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we’ve grown from a single recording studio into Boston’s largest provider of affordable creative space, operating both our original Mass Ave facility and our 90-room Morrissey Boulevard location.

Think of us as your neighborhood community center, but instead of a swimming pool, we offer something even better: affordable recording studios and rehearsal spaces. Our facilities serve over 400 active bands and creative professionals, making us more than just a space—we’re a catalyst for Boston’s creative community.

Our mission remains clear: to remove the technical and social barriers between music makers and their creative visions. Whether you’re recording your first demo or rehearsing for a major tour, TRC provides the professional spaces, tools, and community support you need to succeed.
